My many years of New Zealand travel experience ensure that every detail is taken care of, yet I also recognize and allow for the spontaneous opportunities that inevitably appear while traveling.
I will share with you my passion for New Zealand and my knowledge of the country in a professional way. And, I will introduce you to my fellow New Zealanders telling you many of my unique insights. I've been leading New Zealand tours since 1990. I speak English and Dutch.
Group size:
Your small group (2 or 4 people max.) will give you an unsurpassed intimate experience.
Cuisine:
All meals are included. Savor gourmet meals with fresh, local produce served in your choice of recommended local restaurants or prepared by your hosts at some lodge accommodations.
Accommodation:
You will be treated to charming, luxury bed-and-breakfasts, New Zealand-style lodges, all with private bathrooms complete with all amenities.
Your accommodations will be selected to match your tastes, and will comply with my high standards of quality for hosting, location, service and consistency.
Time & Pace:
You get to see and do what you want and do it all at your pace and at your leisure – whether you like to travel in the fast lane or take it easy.
As your personal guide, I will always be there for you, with friendly support, advice and assistance. There is no pressure or stress; the only deadline may be your return flight home – and even that can be changed!
Activities:
These selections will depend on your preference, weather conditions and personal circumstances. The many possibilities include outdoor pursuits such as walking, fishing, boating, kayaking, and visiting wildlife and bird sanctuaries. Or you may wish to go on vineyard visits, see areas of historical and contemporary cultural significance. New Zealand offers an astounding range of landscapes: alpine, coastline, rain forest, farmland and more. You will recognize some areas from the movie sets of the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Travel dates:
Because I operate an intimate private business based in New Zealand, with great contacts and excellent providers, I can be very flexible, and can tailor a tour around your desired travel dates.
Transportation:
By land you will travel in a luxurious latest model Kia Carnival ‘people mover’ for power, space, low emissions, comfort and safety. Equipped with small library, binoculars, snacks, fruit, water and first aid kit.
Due to our philosophy for small private and personal tours, we limit each exclusive guided tour to a maximum of 4 guests.
Land cost:
Pricing varies because you will get a personalized and individualized package. After receiving your completed Personal Trip Planner, we will communicate by email and telephone to establish your itinerary and pricing, making sure that everything is tailored to your requirements. Some activities such as wine tasting and admissions are included in the land cost.
Deposit:
As soon as we have discussed your itinerary satisfactory, and your deposit of USD$ 375 per person has been received, I will reserve the dates for your personal custom tour and continue the design and finalization process. (Your deposit will reserve the dates for your tour and may be paid by credit card -Visa, MasterCard, or check- Credit cards will incur a charge due to currency exchange) The balance is due 60 days before your arrival date by wire transfer. We will advise of our secure server web address when it is time to pay your deposit.
Your complete package will include airport shuttles, all ground transportation, all meals, luxury accommodation, and (when appropriate) boat transportation. Your guide will accompany you as your exclusive, professional and personal friend - from pick up until drop off at the airport.
