KIA ORA (Greetings)
Most of you are heading for colder weather, turkey and snow, whilst New Zealand is warming up to summer, inviting beaches with the BBQ’s roaring.
It is not far to another New Year – and my yearly recognition to our previous guests is going out in the mail, together with my wishes to you all for continued good health, prosperity and a year of personal satisfaction.
FULL SEASON
My season, starting now and running through May 2009, is almost entirely booked out with only a few open spaces left. I have also advance bookings for 2010, so my advice for people who are considering New Zealand with Tailored Travel is to start planning early! As my company philosophy and culture is to stay small and personal, it has always been ‘first come first serve’
ELECTIONS
Both the USA and New Zealand have held their elections, and both countries have experienced a change. The New Zealand election was held on Saturday the 8th, and after 9 years of a Labour led government, the National party vowed change and received the majority of votes. (sound familiar?)
ON A PERSONAL NOTE
As proud parents of daughter Michelle, we would like to share that at age 17, she won the Global Enterprise Challenge as ‘Managing Director’ of Team New Zealand, beating 20 other countries like the UK, Japan, Germany, USA and Australia in a business enterprise challenge, also know as the ‘Enterprise Olympics” See www.globalenterprisechallenge.com

Tailored Travel is now a member of Nelson Tasman Sustainable Tourism Charter. Aiming to continually improve and promote the environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability of tourism businesses. We have also been planting native NZ trees this winter for each and every guest we had on our tours last season.

PS. Keeping in mind that in 2011 the World Cup Rugby will be held in New Zealand, which will attract a huge amount of (rugby loving) visitors. To make sure we can secure our preferred accommodations, early planning is strongly recommended.
