Tailored Travel will design a personal itinerary for you, specializing in up-market, luxury accommodations and completely organized with all logistics, rentals and reservations “tailored” to your time schedule and interests.
Using my extensive local knowledge and contacts, I can plan a journey off the beaten path or to the country's well-known tourist spots - everything is taken care of. You now have the time to focus on enjoying your trip without the stress of finding the right spot and the worry of the unknown. Once you arrive in New Zealand, you take off on your own with your customized travel package in hand. You can travel at your own pace with maximum flexibility and, should you need my help while in New Zealand, assistance is just a phone call away.
Here's how it works:
After you have submitted your completed Personal Trip Planner, I will supply you with a draft design for your trip. After consultation, receipt of the planning fee, and agreement on a final draft of the itinerary, I will provide you with:
- A personal and detailed overall itinerary
- Daily itineraries with directions, distances, and estimated travel times
- Contacts and bookings
- Relevant maps, literature, brochures and background information
- All of your reservations, bookings and rentals will have been made by Tailored Travel and will be included in your trip literature along with references, phone and fax numbers, and the rates to be paid. You will pay the suppliers directly at New Zealand rates as you travel.
As a further service, you may contact me with questions while you are traveling in New Zealand. I will also assist in communicating with your relatives at home, should the need arise. You will receive an ‘emergency contacts list’ to leave at home so that you may rest assured that friends and family can reach you if the need arises.
Your worthwhile investment (which reflects my professional experience and expertise) to create your unique custom itinerary is based upon the duration of your trip:
- Up to 10 days: $275 USD
- 10-20 days: $375 USD
- 21 days and longer: $495 USD
- Payment by Visa, MasterCard (via secure server page) wire transfer or check.

GUIDED TOUR versus SELF DRIVE:
You may want to take this one step further, and consider having a complete personal guided custom tour. Of course there is a difference between self-drive and guided tour, however in my view, and from the feedback and experience this is a well-justified and worthwhile investment. Ask any of our previous guests!
